Cross Country

24th March 2018
On Saturday 24th March a seventeen strong team of Key Stage 2 pupils attended cross country races at Waddesdon Manor.  The children had been practising weekly on the school field in preparation for the event.  It was a drizzly morning and the races started with a long uphill run.  Everyone managed to complete their races and this was down to our team spirit.  The children very much supported and encouraged each other around the course . There was tough competition in the races, with mixed Year 3 and 4 and mixed Year 5 and 6 races for both boys and girls.  This meant that some of our younger children were racing against children a year older than them.  Special mentions go to Finn Cluett, who came 6th in his race and Finley Easterbrook who came 9th.  The year 3 and 4 boys race had the most runners of the day, with 98 boys taking part.  We are looking forward to athletics training in the summer.
