As part of our STE(A)M extra-curricular activities, we ran a computing club for a small number of Year 5 and 6 pupils. They proved to be committed club members and worked hard using Purple Mash tools on coding and blogging with a focus on developing three games: Escape the Dragon, Fun with Robots and Mash Race. Not only did the club members have to write their own code but they also had to debug it and make improvements to their games each time. They all did a fantastic job. We also discussed what a blog is and what they’re used for. Club members set up their own blogs within our small group to get used to the idea of blogging.
