Sir Captain Tom Moore's Daughter's Visit

We were lucky to receive a visit from the late Sir Captain Tom Moore's daughter, Hannah, in school yesterday (8th June).  She spoke to the whole school in assembly about Sir Tom's life and the legacy he has left.  He managed to raise an amazing £38.9 million for NHS Charities due to the care he had received from them and all their work during the Covid-19 Pandemic.  Hannah kindly donated signed copies of the two books written by Captain Tom which will be kept in our school library.

The Captain Tom Foundation was set up in his memory and to honour his vision of "we have to keep on going".  The Foundation addresses key areas of:  combatting loneliness and championing education and equality.  It is committed to a future where those of our older generation can take their place in society and make a difference in their world.  Where their stories will be heard.

Sir Captain Tom's values align to our own school values including perseverance, kindness and determination.

Inspiring Hope Where It Is Needed Most.
